May [Affiliate of the month]: Discover the Blog Ceppelin
AFFILIATE OF THE MONTH by Saran Kanté
We are excited to share our Affiliate of the Month of May: Lea from the incredibly stylish online magazine Ceppelin! Lea writes about slow fashion and ethics. Keep reading to dive into her universe, and read her most recent Etsy blog post here.
When did you create your blog and why?
Ceppelin was founded December 2019, so we are quite new. My primary goal was to create a platform that combines aesthetics with ethics. On Ceppelin we present clothes and products that are environmentally friendly and yet have a sophisticated design. I have always set the goal for myself to fully stand behind the work that I do.
I love having the possibility to work independently and to decide what people and brands I work with and set the values that my work stands for. I also wanted to turn my passion into a profession and make sure that I enjoy working every day with all my heart.
I studied fashion design and have previously worked for several bloggers and online magazines. During my studies I was a working student in SEO and learned a lot of what is important for my work today. I am also a fashion stylist and obviously feel comfortable being creative and designing things. I come from a very nature – and animal loving family. My parents sell organic food and my mom always taught us to be considerate of the environment, take care of the people around us and our own health.
In the end I simply put everything that I am and have learned into one concept and that is Ceppelin. I believe that working for something that isn’t really you or something that you don’t even like is a waste of time. In my eyes, the time we have in our life is the most valuable thing and therefore we should use it consciously. How did you hear about Etsy?
I have known Etsy for quite a while now and was delighted to become an affiliate partner. A friend of mine runs the shop goldnpeach, and she introduced me even closer to Etsy. Pia sells beautiful vintage accessories and with the help of Etsy she can do what she enjoys doing.
What is your favorite Etsy Shop or product?
It’s really hard to commit to a product because there are so many beautiful things! I especially love shops that offer art and things for a beautiful home. I am also a jewelry lover. Shops that come to my mind right away are MoodyBlues21, BohomadicStudio, SisuPrint, LaimaCeramics, FromBrooklynWLove, nordmood, MagicLinen and WarmGreyCompany.
What inspires you to create content?
Topics that touch my everyday life. Conversations with my friends. Topics that are current or suggested by my work colleagues. Sometimes other articles in magazines or on blogs.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received about blogging?
To be authentic and have a message.
